Sermorelin Acetate Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH) Therapy Offers Advantages Over Human Growth Hormone (hGH) (Somatropin) Therapy

  • Sermorelin Acetate growth hormone releasing hormone therapy is less expensive or about 50% of the cost of genetically engineered recombinant human growth hormone therapy because of the high cost of genetically engineered medication.
  • It is medically preferable and safer for the human body to increase the level of human growth hormone and IGF-1 naturally within its own capacity by the use of Sermorelin growth hormone releasing hormone, rather than though the injection of exogenous genetically engineered human growth hormone. This is because the body's endocrine system safely regulates the amount of additional human growth hormone secreted by the pituitary gland as a consequence of exogenous injections of Sermorelin growth hormone releasing hormone stimulating pituitary production of additional human growth hormone. In contrast, there is no limitation or regulation of the volume of genetically engineered human growth hormone that may be injected by a patient into the body with the resulting potential adverse consequences of high and excessive levels of human growth hormone. Risks include the unsafe and excessive growth or internal organs. Medical research has not found that the body's endocrine system provides a certain or safe regulation for exogenous source of injected human growth hormone not produced naturally by the body's pituitary gland. Moreover, possible adverse effects of the use of injected genetically engineered human growth hormone are unknown.
  • Clinics, physicians and pharmacies may legally distribute, prescribe and dispense Sermorelin acetate growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) for unlabeled medical uses to adults having growth hormone deficiency, while it is illegal and a felony under federal law for a clinic, physician, or pharmacy to knowingly distribute, prescribe or dispense recombinant human growth hormone (hGH) to adults deficient in growth hormone for any unapproved or unlabeled purpose such as anti-aging, development of lean muscle mass, loss of weight, to recover from an injury or surgery or for the purpose of medical rejuvenation. The only use of human growth hormone approved for adult under federal law is for the treatment of a disease or other recognized medical condition, where such use has been authorized by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Growth hormone has only been approved for use when the cause of the growth hormone deficiency is pituitary disease or to treat muscle wasting in HIV patients. Human growth hormone may not be prescribed for any unapproved or unlabeled use even if a patient is deficient in human growth hormone as a matter of federal law.
The applicable law concerning the knowing possession or distribution of human growth hormone for any unapproved purpose is set forth in the following federal statute:
US Code Annotated

Title 21 Food and Drugs

Chapter 3

Subchapter III

Section 333. (e) (1)

This statute provides in relevant part as follows: "...whoever knowingly distributes, or possesses with the intent to distribute, human growth hormone for any use in humans other than the treatment of a disease or other recognized medical condition, where such use has been authorized by the Secretary of Health and Human Services under section 355 of this title pursuant to the order of a physician, is guilty of an offense punishable by not more than 5 years in prison, such fines as are authorized by Title 18, or both."

Therefore, human growth hormone may not be knowingly distributed, prescribed or dispensed for medical rejuvenation; to promote the healing of wounds or injury; to increase lean muscle mass; to enhance athletic performance, reduce fat, increase bone density or for any other use other than the treatment of pituitary disease or muscle wasting of HIV patients, unless expressly authorized by the Secretary of Health and Human Services pursuant to the statute at some future time.

Today, the only effective and legally permissible medical treatment alternative for physicians desiring to increase the endogenous natural production of human growth hormone in patients deficient in growth hormone is though Sermorelin Acetate growth hormone releasing hormone therapy.
